The ranch she runs is on an Oklahoma border. The blogs she writes about cover her day-to-day activities as a husband, wife and a mother at the ranch. The Pioneer Woman was awarded the Annual Weblog Awards, The Pioneer Woman won the Weblog of the Year in 2009 2011, 2010 and 2012. The Pioneer Woman was born to a family of pioneers in Bartlesville Oklahoma, she attended the college of journalism to study gerontology. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions of a Pioneer Woman have been one of her many popular pages. This blog has become an enormous success, with many major publications applauding her writing style and the quality of her photos. It also contains visually impressive food-related recipes. The Pioneer Woman was her first television show, and is broadcast on The Food Network. The book, mostly full of recipes for cooking, also include her own TV show. Columbia Pictures is turning her book Black Heels & Tractor Wheels into a feature film.
