A baby was strapped to my back while one crawled inside the playground. I spent 12 hours days for months sanding and stripping wallpaper while carrying one kid. Ha! It was beginning to seem logical, however it was still far from being finished. This was going take the time, energy, and my favorite shopping for furniture to decorate this home. In order to keep my budget sound, I travelled with my 3 boys looking for bargains in estate sales. Our weekly routine consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage and estate sales buying a mixture of old and new pieces while I spent the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. The furniture was like this... and that's where I got my passion to restore. I continued to restore furniture even after we had completed the renovation of our home. Markets in town had room for me to market my items. Eventually, my collection grew to the point that the space I had available was no longer adequate. I started having open houses at my house that saw more than 1 000 visitors came through on one weekend, and purchase whatever they saw in the first floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. Growing Days was more than an extremely successful company, it was it was also a loving family. As a mom of a child I was able to find the perfect equilibrium to start my own company and be a good mother. Growing Days seemed like the ideal combination. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth child. While I was pleased with the direction my business was taking, I realized that I was in need of some time off. I decided to take some break from my antique furniture and be at home with my kids. It was the right time. After a few months that my phone began to be ringing. I started receiving calls from people asking me to help with their home improvement as well as interior design. The majority of them had visited my house at the open houses for furniture. As I went along I began adding clients each day. However, it didn't take that long before I was managing several clients, and had a profitable home improvement business. When you first told me about my home renovation business I was astonished. Even now, when I think about the circumstances, I find myself laughing.
