April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4th April, 1995. In the seventh grade she began taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm for music writing. April Lockhart penned her first single"Different" when she was twelve years old. When she was 14 April was a big devotee of her time writing and practicing songs. The following months, she began taking writing trips together with her dad on trips to LA in addition to NY. April also added additional themes to the tune "Take My Hand" for a few of her acquaintances who faced concerns like peer pressure issues, or even teens who committed suicide. Lockhart is a popular figure and is an online lifestyle blogger for the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. Lockhart was never born having a left-handed hand, which is the reason she's what she is. It's just not the full story. So, Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't shy away from her handicap, however it doesn't center around it neither. The message is? It's important to keep in mind that everyone has multiple faces. Our identities are diverse and we're greater than the bodies we wear. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance is what defines my character. I don't intend to be an influencer on disabilities because I've got plenty to offer." But it does not affect my day-to-day living. I continue to do the normal things and have adapted to my disabilities. It's a big aspect of my existence, therefore it's important to discuss the subject. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that can last for a long time, and she has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. Yet, she confesses to going through periods of feeling uneasy about her appearance, and the clothes which displayed her arms. She is able to wear anything she'd like, and proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. For her, self-love is a long trip. It's a journey, I'm not sure you'll ever reach your destination. It's important to surround yourself with people who are able to see and know your true heart.
